GameCore is an Android gaming overlay and per-game profile manager that displays authentic, platform-reported performance metrics without fabricated statistics. It provides real-time hardware monitoring, HUD layouts, and display controls, utilizing optional Shizuku access for system-wide refresh rate adjustments and exact memory management.
Technical Overview
GameCore reads authentic hardware metrics directly from /proc/stat, sysfs, and ActivityManager to ensure zero artificial estimates are displayed. When granted Shizuku permissions, it utilizes a strictly enumerated set of shell commands to adjust display sizing via wm size, close specific background packages using am kill, and manage device-wide color matrix settings without requiring root access.
Features of GameCore
- Floating control panel providing media volume sliders, orientation locks, and customizable crosshairs that snap to screen edges.
- Per-game profiles automatically applying designated refresh rates, display sizes, and color corrections upon foreground game detection.
- Authentic performance monitoring tracking per-core CPU usage, true battery drain per hour, and connection latency via TCP handshakes.
- Targeted cache clearing utilizing Shizuku to delete a game's shared-storage cache directory without touching saves or downloaded assets.
Compatibility & Quick Setup
Requires Android 8.0 or newer — install the APK and grant ADB permissions via Shizuku.
