The all too familiar frame drop in the middle of a dual shot at the crossroads in Call of Duty Mobile. Many of us are long time Android tinkerers. After years of tweaking for optimal performance we know how to get the best out of a handfull of hardware. One of the most effective tools we have in our arsenal right now for those stubborn frame dips are custom config files.
While it is unlikely that players will ever use the config file, it is an interesting additional feature hidden in Shadowgrounds Red Shift. Most settings are going to change background options that can not be altered from the normal game menu. For example, the video resolution can be lowered and some graphic intensive elements such as trees and particle effects can be toned down to free up resources on the phone. However, the reality is that most of this can be accomplished by reducing the screen resolution from the standard menu. Here are some actual savings that occurred by lowering the resolution to 640×480.
Many online tutorials make all sorts of claims about what can be done with files created by WriterCube. The following is a summary of my real-world tests of the site’s functionality.
- Increase Android Performance – Real. It optimizes how your phone handles the game’s memory demands.
- Boost FPS, GPU, and CPU: Real. It will ensure your games are rendered smoothly by forcing your computer to prioritise frame rates over other tasks allowing your GPU and CPU to max out their capability.
- Smooth Gameplay & Lag Fix: Real. This mod drops all the unnecessary visuals, which helps keep the game running smoothly.
- Real. Fast Touch Response: Our game engine’s faster speed allows your screen to register your touches faster.
- Aim Assist & Sniper Aim Assist: Fake. These hacks are not real. A simple text document cannot rewrite your video game code to aim for targets for you.
- Max Less Recoil: Fake. weapon mechanics are done on the server, not your local files.
- Rank Booster: Rank Booster is Rank Up Booster. Fake. A config can’t give you game sense.
Instead of fiddling with silly renders and models try performance related settings. An optimised config will provide you with a stable and smooth gaming experience, helping you improve as a basic sniping skill, rather than trying to cheat the system with a config that gives you win matches.
