FPSUnlocker — Update

🚀 New FPSUnlocker update!

FPSUnlocker has received a new update with improvements to the FPS control, refresh rate, and per-game performance features.

In this version, the old Quick FPS section has been removed and replaced by the new GPU Load Reduction feature, allowing you to configure a specific render scale for each game.

🎮 GPU Load Reduction

You can now select:

• 100% — Original quality, no reduction.
• 90% — Minor reduction in GPU load.
• 80% — Greater load reduction, which may improve stability.
• 70% — More aggressive reduction, recommended for demanding games.

A lower scale means the GPU needs to process fewer pixels. This can help maintain a more stable frame rate in demanding games, but it may reduce image sharpness.

The old profiles continue to work normally and use 100% as the default, so no render scale reduction is automatically applied to already configured games.

⚡ Per-Game Refresh Rate

Each game can have its own display profile, allowing you to select rates such as 60 Hz, 90 Hz, 120 Hz, or 144 Hz, provided the device supports it.

It is also possible to use the automatic option to try and select the highest rate available on your device.

📊 FPS Limit

The app allows you to configure FPS limits per game, including values such as 30, 40, 45, 60, 90, and 120 FPS, depending on system compatibility.

This feature does not increase game performance. It serves to cap the maximum frame rate, which can help with stability, battery consumption, and temperature.

🚀 Performance Mode

When available on Android, FPSUnlocker can request a performance mode for the game. The outcome depends on the manufacturer, the Android version, and the device's power management policies.

🔄 Automatic Application

Profiles can be applied automatically when the game is launched.

Upon exiting the game, the app attempts to restore previous settings, preventing refresh rate changes from remaining active in the system.

It is also possible to manually apply a profile via the Test Now option and restore settings using Restore.

🔧 Shizuku

FPSUnlocker uses Shizuku to perform necessary system operations without requiring traditional root access.

The availability of each feature depends on the permissions granted by Shizuku, the Android version, and the limitations imposed by the manufacturer.

⚠️ Important

• FPSUnlocker does not artificially create FPS and does not guarantee that a game will jump from 60 to 120 FPS.
• To use a higher rate, the game must be compatible, and the hardware must be capable of rendering the required frames.
• Higher refresh rates can increase battery consumption and temperature. Similarly, reducing the render scale can improve stability but may decrease visual quality.
• The app does not modify internal game files, remove server limitations, or alter the internal workings of the game.
