RAM Reduce is a systemless root module engineered to strictly manage device memory allocation. Its primary function is limiting background application retention, ensuring hardware resources remain available for active tasks without permanently altering base system partitions.

Technical Details of RAM Reduce

This modification intercepts default Android OS behavior to scale down how the system handles background application caching. Under the hood, it operates systemlessly to enforce strict thresholds, specifically reducing the maximum retained cached processes to ten and capping empty processes at five. Users require this direct intervention to stop idle background applications from hoarding memory and bogging down active device performance.

Core Features of RAM Reduce

  • Cached Processes: Reduces the maximum number of cached apps kept in memory to exactly 10.
  • Empty Limits: Strictly caps the total number of retained empty background processes at 5.
  • Systemless Execution: Applies memory threshold modifications without writing directly to read-only system partitions.

Compatibility & Requirements

This module strictly requires a compatible root manager environment such as Magisk, KernelSU, or APatch to successfully enforce the modified process limits.
