ColorBlendr is an open-source Android personalization tool that modifies system Material You palettes. It allows users to adjust Monet color schemes, saturation levels, and lightness without permanent system-wide file modifications, operating via ADB commands handled directly through Shizuku or wireless debugging.

Technical Overview of ColorBlendr

In elevated configurations, ColorBlendr utilizes Android's FabricatedOverlay API to dynamically overlay framework color resources in memory without altering storage partitions. For non-root environments, the application executes ADB commands through Shizuku to adjust runtime Material You system properties. These operations inject custom seed colors, Monet style presets, and lightness variables directly into supported Android interface components.

Core Features of ColorBlendr

  • Monet fine-tuning controls provide dedicated sliders for accent saturation, background saturation, and background lightness alongside official style presets.
  • Independent theme configurations allow separate color rules, custom secondary or tertiary colors, and a pitch-black toggle for dark mode.
  • Granular palette overrides enable manual per-shade hex code replacements across the generated system color map.
  • Tasker automation integration processes broadcast receiver intents (com.drdisagree.colorblendr.action.APPLY_CONFIG) to automatically trigger timed or screen-off palette adjustments.

Compatibility & Quick Setup

Requires an Android 12+ ROM with Material You support — install the APK and grant ADB permissions via Shizuku to begin customizing.
