Zafiro is an open-source, BYOK AI agent that automates tasks directly on your Android device. It physically controls your screen to execute commands and runs Shell and Python natively. Utilizing Shizuku or root, it delivers completely hands-free, intelligent operation directly to your phone.

Technical Overview

Built upon the Okia Agent runtime and Jetpack Compose, Zafiro integrates directly with Android's core architecture using Shizuku for elevated system access. It leverages Chaquopy to execute Python 3 scripts locally and connects with external LLM APIs via Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) protocols. For rooted devices, it utilizes the LSPosed framework to intercept the Xposed API, replacing OEM voice assistants like Breeno with its own agent runtime.

Device Control: Automates screen interactions with a fully visible on-screen mouse to open apps, select media, or perform web research.
Agent System: Connects out-of-the-box with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, and OpenRouter, alongside full support for Skills and MCP.
Python Execution: Runs Python 3 and Linux Shell commands natively, allowing the agent to wrap, reuse, and maintain custom executable tools.
Voice Takeover: Replaces native system assistants via LSPosed to intercept voice wake commands and execute hardware-level agent operations.
