XTherm Pro is a root-level thermal controller module for Android devices that bypasses vendor thermal throttling limits. By disabling built-in temperature services like thermal-engine and thermal_hal, it prevents CPU and GPU frequency drops to maintain maximum hardware performance during heavy workloads.
I flashed this to test the specialized mi_thermald bypass, and it immediately stopped the annoying framerate drops I was getting midway through heavy gaming sessions. Under the hood, the module uses an overlay dummy script to overwrite system binaries so the manufacturer watchdog can't force-restart the thermal throttler behind your back.
- Universal throttling removal: Kills stock thermal services across both Snapdragon and MediaTek processors to keep your clock speeds high.
- Persistent MIUI bypass: Replaces the standard Xiaomi watchdogs with an overlay script so
mi_thermaldstays dead permanently. - Hardware layer control: Gives you the choice to block the
thermal_halsecurity layer right from the boot sequence. - Interactive volume setup: Prompts you to select the exact configuration needed for your specific phone brand while flashing the zip.
Support & Requirements:
Requires Root access via Magisk, KernelSU, or APatch. Compatible with Snapdragon and MediaTek devices (Using an external phone cooler is highly recommended to prevent hardware damage).
How to Install:
- Flash the downloaded XTherm Pro ZIP file through the modules tab in your root manager app.
- Use your physical volume keys when prompted on screen to select the correct bypass options for your device.
- Tap the reboot button at the bottom of the screen once the flashing process finishes.
