The VPN to Hotspot Magisk Module is a system-level modification that forces your Android device to share its active Virtual Private Network connection through the mobile hotspot. This allows connected laptops, tablets, or other phones to inherit the host device's encrypted traffic and masked IP address.
I found this module incredibly useful when traveling, as it bypasses the normal Android restriction that separates hotspot data from the active VPN tunnel. Under the hood, it modifies the system's routing tables so you only need one single VPN subscription to encrypt the internet traffic for all your connected devices.
- Extended device protection means every single laptop or tablet hooked to your Wi-Fi gets blanketed by the host's encryption.
- Bypass regional blocks on secondary hardware like smart TVs or gaming consoles without needing to install dedicated client apps on them.
- Saves subscription money because your VPN provider only sees one active connection, even if you are tethering internet to five different gadgets at once.
Support & Requirements
- Android Versions: Android 8.0 and higher
- Root Requirement: Magisk (Also works with standard KernelSU and APatch setups)
How to Install
- Open the Magisk Manager application and switch to the Modules tab found at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap on "Install from storage" and navigate to your downloads folder to select the VPN to Hotspot .zip file.
- Wait for the flashing screen to finish the process, then hit the reboot button to apply your new network routing rules.
