Module Overview

The SPen Cursor Overlay is a Magisk module designed for Galaxy Tab devices running AOSP-based ROMs. It restores the standard arrow pointer for OTG and Bluetooth mice while replacing the default hover icon with a OneUI-style S Pen dot.

My Experience
I've been running this on my daily driver (SM-P619 with LineageOS), and it completely fixes the messy cursor situation on custom ROMs. Under the hood, it flags the S Pen as a touchscreen input and swaps out the system overlays, bringing back a normal mouse arrow while restoring the familiar OneUI hover dot.

Core Features

  • Proper mouse arrows finally return when you connect an external OTG or Bluetooth mouse.
  • OneUI hover dot replaces the default AOSP hover indicator to match Samsung's stock firmware look.
  • Hides finger taps by making the touch indicator completely transparent, keeping the screen clean.

Support & Requirements

  • Root: Magisk (Requires "Show taps" to be enabled in Developer Options).
  • Compatibility: AOSP-based ROMs with S Pen patches (Tested on LineageOS 23 & DerpFest 16). Not supported on stock OneUI.

How to Install

  1. Download the latest module .zip file to your tablet.
  2. Open Magisk, go to the Modules tab, and select "Install from storage".
  3. Select the .zip, follow the on-screen prompts to pick your preferred cursor color, and reboot.
