Module Overview
OpenList Magisk is a systemless module that integrates the OpenList file server directly into Android devices. It operates through Magisk, KernelSU, or APatch, allowing users to host and manage a local file server accessible via a web browser on their network.
I installed this module to handle file sharing across my home network, and it quietly runs a lightweight web server directly from the root level. You can easily start or stop the service using the built-in action buttons in your root manager without ever opening a terminal. It auto-detects your active IP address, making wireless file transfers between a phone and a computer incredibly straightforward.

Support & Requirements
- Hardware: ARM and ARM64 Android devices.
- Root Framework: Magisk (v20.4 or higher), KernelSU, or APatch.
- Permissions: Active Root access required.
How to Install
- Download the latest OpenList release
.zipfile to your device storage. - Open your Magisk, KernelSU, or APatch app and choose the option to install from local storage.
- Select the downloaded file, configure your preferred installation locations during the setup menu, and reboot your device once finished.
Why Run a Root-Level File Server?
Standard file-sharing apps often get killed by aggressive Android battery management. Pushing the OpenList file server to the system level ensures it stays active in the background. It provides a highly reliable way to access your phone's internal files directly from a laptop browser by simply visiting http://<DeviceIP>:5244. You bypass the need for physical USB cables, third-party cloud drives, or heavy ad-filled transfer applications.
