NetKill is a module for your rooted mobile device that allows you to restrict Internet access for specific apps at the system (kernel) level, without the need for a VPN or external apps. Everything is managed via a web interface integrated into your root manager.

What You Can Do

  • Block Internet access for user or system apps with a single tap
  • Activate Master Mode to restrict Internet access for the entire device
  • Force a custom DNS for the whole device or for specific apps
  • Privacy options: block encrypted DNS (DoT), block outgoing pings, and block IPv6
  • System diagnostics to ensure everything is working correctly
  • Light and dark themes (HyperOS and iOS style) and a cyberpunk dark theme
  • Supports Spanish and English with automatic language detection

What's New In This Version

  • Revamped and clearer interface with two theme options
  • Fixed an issue where the theme-switching button would overlap with the title on smaller screens
  • You can now select your preferred language (Spanish and English) with automatic detection based on your device settings
  • Improved handling of apps that share the same identifier (UID): the app now clearly warns that blocking one app will also block all others sharing that same identifier
  • Added an experimental (unstable) section to test whether your device supports per-app isolation, this does not affect standard functionality
  • Improved cleanup during uninstallation, system rules are now correctly removed
  • Enhanced diagnostics and error messaging

Important Limitations

  • Blocking is based on the UID (app identifier), if multiple apps share the same UID (for example, certain MIUI system apps), blocking one will block all apps that share that identifier, this is a limitation of the Android system and not a bug in the module
  • The experimental app-based isolation mode is not supported on most mobile devices and is included for testing purposes only

How To Use It

  • Install the module via your root manager (KernelSU, APatch, Magisk)
  • Open the module's WebUI
  • In the list, toggle the switch for an app to restrict its internet access (red indicates blocked)
  • Use REGENERATE if a change does not take effect
  • MASTER restricts internet access for the entire device (useful for emergencies)
  • Under Advanced settings, you can configure DNS and privacy options

Security

  • No data is sent over the internet, everything runs locally on your device
  • Configuration is saved in /data/adb/netkill and persists through updates

This is the first public release of NetKill. Thanks for trying it out.
