Module Overview
KernelSU Next is a kernel-based root solution for Android devices operating entirely in kernel space. It utilizes Magic Mount and OverlayFS architectures to provide highly secure, systemless root access and granular app profile management directly at the hardware level.
I've been running this on my daily driver, and having the core root implementation baked directly into the custom kernel makes hiding superuser status effortless. You don't have to fight with aggressive banking or anti-cheat apps since everything stays hidden beneath the Android system layer.
Core Features
- Kernel-level integration keeps your superuser access completely hidden from strict security checks right out of the box.
- Advanced module framework uses Magic Mount and OverlayFS to handle system modifications without touching the actual partitions.
- Restricting root privileges per app takes just a few taps using the built-in profile manager.
Support & Requirements
- Supported Kernels: Android 4.4 up to 6.6 (GKI 2.0, GKI 1.0, and EOL kernels).
- Architectures:
arm64-v8a,armeabi-v7a, andx86_64. - Root Type: Kernel-based (Requires a compatible kernel with KernelSU Next built-in).
How to Install
- Download the KernelSU Next Manager APK directly from the official GitHub releases.
- Install the app normally on your device (ensure your current custom kernel already includes KernelSU Next).
