Module Overview
🚀 Google Services Manager — Release
Google Services Manager is an Android utility designed to inspect, manage, and optimize Google-related services and packages installed on your device. By utilizing Shizuku for operations that require elevated privileges, the app offers a centralized interface to analyze the behavior of Google services and individually control background activities, data usage, battery consumption, notifications, standby priority, wakelocks, and exact alarms.
The goal is not to automatically remove or disable services, but to provide you with explicit and reversible control over specific Android policies.
📱 App Information & Detection
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Name | Google Services Manager |
| Package | voidgoogle.app |
| Minimum OS | Android 8.0 (API 26) |
| Target SDK | API 34 |
| Requirement | Shizuku (for privileged operations) |
| Type | Google Services Management Utility |
Upon startup, the app scans installed packages and identifies Google-related services (e.g., packages starting with com.google. or the Play Store). For each service found, it displays the original icon, app name, package name, execution state, category, recommendation, and available resource information directly from the Android system.
🛠️ Individual Controls & Features
Each service has an "Individual Controls" screen where you can analyze and apply restrictions separately. Changes are only made when you confirm the operation. Available controls include:
- Background Activity: Restricts background execution using Android AppOps. (May delay syncs and notifications).
- Background Data: Applies a background data restriction to the app's UID. (May stop background syncs and updates).
- Background Battery Usage: Restricts continuous background execution. (May affect notifications, location, and scheduled tasks).
- Background Notifications: Revokes the app's permission to post notifications. (Important alerts may be missed).
- System Power Saving Mode: Moves the app to a lower-priority standby bucket. (Jobs and syncs may run less frequently).
- Wakelocks: Restricts the
WAKE_LOCKoperation via AppOps to prevent the app from keeping the processor awake. (May affect media playback and continuous tasks). - Exact Alarms: Restricts
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARMpermissions. (Reminders and scheduled tasks may not run exactly on time).
You also have access to quick actions like blocking notifications, forcing stops, opening system settings, or restoring applied restrictions without needing to navigate through multiple system menus.
🔐 Shizuku Integration & Recommendations
Shizuku is required to execute privileged operations without traditional root access. The main screen will clearly show if Shizuku is authorized or if it needs to be activated. The app categorizes discovered services into three recommendation levels:
- 🔴 Essential: Fundamental components (like Google Play Services). Restricting these can cause significant system and app failures.
- 🟡 Recommended: Services that can be restricted depending on user needs (e.g., specific sync components or the Play Store).
- 🟢 Optional: Services consuming resources that aren't constantly needed in the background.
Before applying any optimization, a warning system explains the impending changes and potential consequences. Essential services trigger stronger warnings to prevent accidental disruptions.
🛡️ Security, User Control & Developer Note
Developed with a conservative approach, the app will never automatically remove apps, uninstall services, or apply restrictions without your explicit confirmation. It features a safe restore function to revert managed policies back to their normal Android behavior, though results may vary based on your ROM and Android version.
⚠️ Important Warning: Because this app offers advanced controls, changing essential components can cause unexpected effects like login failures, broken push notifications, or incomplete backups. Apply changes one at a time and use the restore function if necessary.
🚀 VOID_ADB — Google Services Manager
I created this app because, to me, Google services are one of Android's biggest villains when it comes to draining RAM, battery, and system resources. 😂
The goal of VOID Google Services Manager is to give you more control over these services and help anyone else who suffers from this same issue. If you like it, I will keep improving the app! Send your ideas and suggestions. 🔥
What specific features or optimizations would you like to see added in the next update?
