Module Overview
Frosty is an open-source root module for Magisk, KernelSU, and APatch built to stop background battery drain caused by Google Play Services and system telemetry. It offers web-based controls for Deep Doze levels, RAM tuning, kernel tweaks, and automated screen-off power management.
My Experience
I've been running Frosty on my daily driver to keep aggressive GMS background processes under control, and the standby gains are noticeable right away. Setting Deep Doze to Moderate alongside a two-minute screen-off Wi-Fi timeout killed my overnight battery loss completely without dropping incoming chat notifications.
Core Features
- Targeted GMS freezing across 8 separate service categories to stop background tracking, ad analytics, and unnecessary background syncing.
- Force Deep Doze state automatically when your display turns off, shutting down rogue wakelocks and background jobs.
- WebUI dashboard control gives you a full management panel to tweak kernel values, ZRAM compression, and RAM cleaner routines on the fly.
- Automate connection cutoffs by turning off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile data after a set delay, then restoring them instantly when you unlock.
Support & Requirements
