FOD Boost is a systemless Magisk module designed to calibrate Fingerprint On Display (FOD) sensors on Android devices. It accelerates biometric recognition algorithms to drastically reduce reading delays, resulting in a noticeably faster and more accurate unlocking process.
I've been running this on my daily driver, and that annoying hesitation before the screen wakes up is completely gone. It tightens up the sensor's response time under the hood, so getting into the phone feels instant rather than like a waiting game.
Core Features
- Instant screen wake happens because the tweak actively reduces the software hesitation between physical touch and authentication.
- Fewer failed attempts occur since the sensor becomes much more forgiving when your thumb lands slightly off-center.
- Recalibrate your scanner by deleting your old prints and adding them again right after the first reboot for the best results.
Support & Requirements
- Supported Android: Android 8.0 and above (requires a physical in-display fingerprint sensor)
- Root Type: Magisk required
How to Install
- Download the FOD Boost .zip file to your phone and open your Magisk manager app.
- Navigate to the Modules menu, tap "Install from storage," and pick the downloaded tweak.
- Reboot your device, then delete and re-register your fingerprints.
