Module Overview
FastCharge Next is a root module designed to increase battery charging speeds on Android devices. By tweaking kernel and system charging parameters, it safely boosts the charging current to reduce overall charge time without causing excessive overheating or battery degradation.
My Experience
I've been running this on my daily driver to cut down on time plugged into the wall, and the speed bump is definitely noticeable. Under the hood, the script forces the kernel to accept a higher charging current while keeping temperatures in check, so you aren't cooking your battery just to get a quick top-off before heading out.
Core Features
- Higher charging currents are forced directly through the kernel to significantly cut down your wait time.
- Built-in thermal limits mean the module won't let your phone overheat or ruin its long-term battery health.
- Fully customizable config script located in
/data/adb/modules/fastcharge-next/config.shfor those who want to tweak the default safe values.
