The DresOS Magisk Module is a two-part security package that replaces the default Android System WebView with a privacy-focused alternative and provides a universal, systemless microG installation. It acts as a drop-in replacement for Google Play Services to enhance device privacy.

I've been running the microG variant on my daily driver, and the fact that it's a pure file overlay without Zygisk means it runs incredibly stable without risking bootloops. The built-in watchdog script actually saved my device during a messy firmware flash, while the background updates keep Aurora Store perfectly synced without any manual intervention.

Core Features

  • Custom WebView replacement swapping out standard Android engines for a hardened DresOS alternative.
  • Drops right in to replace Google Play Services with a systemless microG setup that includes Aurora Store.
  • A built-in watchdog monitors your boot process and disables the module automatically if your phone hangs on the boot logo.
  • Stays completely updated by automatically pulling signed APK releases from the official microG repo and IzzyOnDroid every week.

Support & Requirements

  • Android Version: Android 8.0 - 16+ (WebView module requires Android 10+)
  • Root Requirement: Magisk 24.0+ (WebView requires Magisk 29.0+)
  • ROM Requirement: Your custom ROM must support signature spoofing for the microG module to function.

How to Install

  1. Download the specific DresOS module .zip (WebView or microG) to your internal storage.
  2. Open the Magisk app, navigate to the Modules tab, and tap "Install from storage".
  3. Select the .zip file, wait for the flashing process to finish, and reboot your phone.
