Module Overview

Audio Misc Settings is a Magisk module designed to modify Android's core audio configuration. It expands media volume control to 100 distinct steps, improves system resampling to mastering quality, and disables built-in effect frameworks to achieve a direct, low-jitter audio signal.

I flashed this module to get finer control over my media volume, and the 100-step scale makes a massive difference. Bypassing the stock effects framework noticeably reduced audio jitter, giving my music a much cleaner sound signature when using an external DAC.

  • 100 Volume Steps: Changes the default volume slider to allow precise adjustments at 0.4 to 0.7dB increments.
  • Mastering Quality Resampling: Upgrades the Android OS mixer to prevent distortion and deliver high-fidelity playback.
  • Direct Audio Pass: Disables spatial audio, sound dose features, and default effects to stop unwanted background processing.
  • Lower USB Jitter: Tweaks the USB HAL driver transfer period to reduce interference for connected audio peripherals.
