I think it’s pretty common for all of us to complain when our phones become slow or unresponsive at the worst possible times. After years of modifying Android handsets, I’ve come across countless ‘performance optimisation’ apps and tweaks that claim to do this and that, but rarely offer any tangible benefits. However, every so often I stumble upon a setting that actually seems to make a noticeable difference.
When you flash the Android Optimization Props (AOP) module, this is what happens to your phone. Optimal performance was achieved almost immediately after flashing and the phone seemed to shed all of its lag. Everything that has to do with modifying the build.prop is about fine-tuning your Android system.
Is your smartphone running slow, is battery life less than impressive then maybe this unofficial Android 10 update could be in your future. And unlike a recent Android 10 update for the P30, it’s compatible with either an older Magisk rooted Android or with KernelSU (KSU) and APatch roots using the full fledged root access offered by the latter.
Why This Module Stands Out
So I decided to put the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) booster to the test in my daily driver. Before applying the solution I noticed that when pressing a string of notifications on the screen there would be a noticeable lag of several seconds before the phone would register each entry and move on to the next one. After applying the module there was no lag whatsoever and the phone would reactively open each notification with lightning speed, it felt like a whole new animal. So let’s take a look at what the Universal Plug and Play booster is actually doing:
- Simplifies System Performance: This plugin can be seen as a form of “spring cleaning” for your system configuration, eliminating unnecessary configurations from your database.
- Streamlines RAM Management With applications always running in the background, your RAM was being consistently consumed even while you weren’t actively using certain programs.
- Battery Life Extender This app switches off many background apps that tend to cause the battery to run out.
- Universal compatibility; It works on all Android devices, old and new.
- Faster UI Respnse and Fewer system lag issues The user interface transitions are a lot faster and more fluid and less frequently causing the dreaded system lag.
- Improved gaming performance You’ll never want to experience a frame drop during a heated gaming session.
- Better Touch Experience: your screen will be more responsive to your input, with less lag between swipes and taps.
- Enhances CPU Management: It allows your CPU to ramp up and down with less effort and power consumption.
- Reduces Ping Spikes: Keeps your network speed stable throughout gameplay.
- Prevents Device Overheating The CPU cooler plays a vital role in preventing the device from overheating especially during instances where heavy processing tasks are undertaken on the device.
- Smooths UI Animations: Scrolling through menus has been made silky smooth on all hardware.
- Easy Installation: Grab the zip, flash it via your rom manager of choice and reboot and you’re good to go.
No tech skills needed Our module is easy to install and works with Magisk Manager, KSU Next, and APatch.
I would suggest that you should give it a go – reboot your phone and let it bed in for a bit (an hour or so) and then just get on with normal use of the phone. The update feels a whole lot more stable than what Samsung has on the main flagships, and is actually a great upgrade to have. It really does give the feeling that any one of the non-flagship handsets from Samsung would feel like a proper Sammy flagship, and has done in our short time playing with it.
