I’ve been using the LMK Controller Magisk Module for ages, and it’s been revolutionizing the way I manage my Android memory. If your phone keeps mercilessly OOM’ing (killing) your background apps? This module allows you to control Android’s Low Memory Killer and way more from your screen.
The best bits!
- Complete LMK Control On Android: You have complete control over Android’s minfree values.
- WebUI Integration: You can also tweak some settings from MMRL’s and also the KernelSU Manager’s web interface.
- Profiles management: 3 customizable (bright, medium, dark) profiles that can be switched between on the fly.
- _Performance: Resets all thresholds for maximum raw power.
- Stability: Truly balanced for daily riding.
- Default: Keeps things near AOSP stock settings.
- Automatic Boot Persistent disabled: No need to reapply all your modifications over subsequent reboots because all of the settings will automatically persist in /data/adb/service.d/.
- Multi-Level Merge Utility – Compatibility: This tool is designed to function without conflict with both the Classic LMK (Level Lock Multiple Kernel) and the newer LMKD locking method.
- Smart Installation: During installation, the module is able to automatically detect the correct kernel type and does LMKD compatibility checks.
I’ve found that putting it on the Stability profile seems to hit the sweet spot. It keeps the random app crashes at bay, and the system is super responsive. Definitely worth a shot.
