So you know how your phone just dies for seemingly no reason? You’re in the middle of a heated gaming session and you need to quickly switch to a text, and before you can even get your app open the game reloads or your screen goes black? Yeah, my phone would do that like 10 times a day and it was absolutely ridiculous. After having the Typhoon Ulanda Module installed, it hasn’t done it once.
So this Magisk module does what we’re all used to by now – it’s a pretty universal solution. Rooted root users can grab it via the Magisk module manager. Unrooted folks can grab the Typhoon Ulanda Plugin instead via AxManager and it’s good to go – at least, that’s what I’ve found having not gone root to install this.
So what does the System Resource Manager (SRM) actually do. The system resource manager can be thought of as the referee of the system resources. Here are my findings before and after loading SRM.
- Enhanced System: Everything feels more snappy and stable. This isn’t so much about becoming faster; it’s about becoming steadier.
- Fixed Multi-Tasking in Heavy Games: Another huge feature I’ve been wanting for ages! While in certain heavy games like Genshin Impact trying to alt-tab or open Discord often caused the app to softlock or crash this feature should now stop that from happening and let you Alt-Tab, Open Chat, or whatever you’d like without forcing the game to softlock or die.
- Fixed Crash Apps & Black Screen: A week ago these would occur numerous times throughout the day. Not so much anymore.
One area where Samsung may have improved the Galaxy S II is with its memory or RAM. Whatever the company has done appears to have made the device keep more apps open without needing to be restarted, which is definitely a small win.
No magic here, not going to make your 3 year old phone turn back into a brand new device. But what it does do, is deal with the annoyances caused by software bugs that cause problems with your device that can be fixed with this module. My experience has been that the module has fixed my problems and works as it is supposed to. If you have issues with multi tasking or apps crashing, this device may be a good solution for you.
