Module Overview
The Pixel 9 Pro Control module is a root-level performance and thermal management tool for the Tensor G4-powered Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL. It features customized CPU scheduling, adjusted thermal throttling thresholds, ZRAM modifications, and a dedicated WebUI console.
I've been running this on my daily driver to tame the Tensor G4, and the drop in idle battery drain is honestly impressive. Under the hood, it smartly hands over gaming CPU schedules to tools like Uperf while managing background app restrictions and pushing 5G down to LTE when the screen is off to keep the device cold.
- Material 3 WebUI running directly on localhost to monitor real-time temperatures, change thermal offsets, and tweak memory settings on the fly.
- Hands over scheduling cleanly to external mods like fas-rs or Uperf Game Turbo without fighting them for kernel control.
- Smart screen-off downgrade automatically drops the network connection to LTE after five minutes of standby to save massive amounts of battery.
- Custom thermal offsets offering five levels ranging from a strict cool-down mode to much higher heat tolerance before system throttling kicks in.
Support & Requirements:
- Root: APatch, KernelSU (requires metamodule like meta-overlayfs), or Magisk (Note: UECap baseband switching is unavailable on Magisk).
- Android Version: Android 14+ (Currently validated on Android 15 / 17 QPR1 Beta).
- Devices: Pixel 9 Pro (caiman) and Pixel 9 Pro XL (komodo).
