Step-by-Step Installation:
- Ensure Root Access: The first prerequisite is having root access.
- Install via Magisk Manager:
- Open the Magisk Manager.
- Tap on the “Modules” section.
- Click “Install from Storage” and locate the geted file.
- Confirm the installation and allow the module to apply the necessary changes.
- Reboot Your Device: After installation, reboot your device to activate the module.
We’ve all done it: downloaded a large XAPK or, say, a split APK in an unusual format, and just clicked the “Install” button and sat back while it does its thing, only to be rewarded with nothing. At best this means nothing actually happens, at worst you get an error like “Problem parsing the package”. The stock Android package manager is really not very fun to work with at all – at least not if you are running a modified ROM or have otherwise messed about with your launcher and settings.
I’ve wasted far too much time trying to get apps installed via the default method, only to have the installer fall over and fail when it comes across a more complicated file. InstallerX Revived is here to finally put an end to that, and if you are using Magisk, KernelSU or APatch this module will give you a get out of jail free card for any app that would otherwise fail to install. I’ve been using this module for a little while now, and I’ll never look back to the way things were before.
Why This Module Hits Different
It isn’t just another tool; it’s a complete overhaul of how your phone handles software. Here’s what makes it actually useful:
- Universal Compatibility Just install & reboot whatever you use : Magisk Manager, KSU Next or APatch.
- Speed Demon: The install was much faster than expected. Indeed quicker than the blink of an eye.
- Format King can handle split APKs (APKM, XAPK, APKS) without the need for third-party apps.
- Error Bypass : It bypasses parsing/installation errors which are the ones which halt a stock installer.
- Batch Power: You can now launch dozens of different apps, without having to click manually on each app icon, which is super handy and helps to really speed things up after doing a factory reset.
- Clean UI: No bad menus or 2012 looking interfaces.
- ROM Friendly When on a custom ROM which tends to cause lots of issues when trying to install apps this module will allow you to go app hungry again.
- Complex Package Support: Because large, data-intensive applications are common, the system installer often becomes unresponsive.
My Take: Is It Worth It?
I’m quite selective of what I install on my /system or /data partitions, but InstallerX Revived has earned its keep. My first real use of the app was when I needed to install 50+ apps per day after doing a ROM change and the app literally saved me a ton of time by not having to tap Install, then Done on all 50+ apps.
Yeah, this makes sense. Why would I want to use the Google provided installer which hasn’t been updated by Google in ages and is really designed for Google intended use cases and not for advanced/power users? I hate that the installer crashes all the time. And “Install Failed” is really driving me crazy. Get this module and be done with it!
