Installation using root access
I recommend to use KernelSU. If you are using KernelSU, then be sure to disable the unmount modules option if available, and also use OverlayFS if possible. Here we go.
- Ensure Root Access: The first prerequisite is having root access via a custom recovery.
- Install via Magisk Manager:
- Open the Magisk Manager.
- Tap on the “Modules” section.
- Click “Install from Storage” and locate the geted file.
- Confirm the installation and allow the module to apply the necessary changes.
- Reboot Your Device: After installation, reboot your device to activate the module.
Installation via custom recovery
Before start: you must have an EXT 4 R/W system with free space in the vendor and system partitions, otherwise you will not be able to install driver. Before installing gpu driver, make a backup of the super partition in your custom recovery, or you don’t have to make a backup if you have a flashable ROM archive of your current ROM. In the case of bootloop, you can recover by restoring the super backup or flashing the ROM. Here we go.
- Reboot into custom recovery
- Mount the /vendor and /system partitions
- Flash the gpu driver flashable archive
- Clear the Cache and Dalvik/Art cache
- Reboot into the system. Done!
