Module Overview
Android AutoX is a comprehensive root and LSPosed application designed to modify Android Auto behavior. By directly editing Google Play Services' Phenotype database, it bypasses standard driving restrictions, unlocks hidden UI features, and enables custom app projection on car displays.
My Experience
I've been running this APK on my daily driver, and stripping away the annoying six-tap limits and speed restrictions while on the road is a huge relief. Under the hood, it toggles Play Services flags to force widescreen layouts, and once you have the LSPosed module active, the virtual-display projection handles inputs perfectly.
Core Features
- No speed restrictions locking you out of your maps and media while moving.
- Force widescreen or portrait layouts, depending on your head unit's physical screen.
- Disabling Bluetooth auto-connection stops your phone from hijacking car audio when you just want to plug in and charge.
- Coolwalk UI activation is built directly into the app for immediate access.
Support & Requirements
- Root Access: Magisk or KernelSU (required for all basic Phenotype/Gearhead tweaks).
- Framework: LSPosed (strictly required for the AutoX virtual-display projection feature to handle cross-display input).
How to Install
- Download and install the latest Android AutoX APK just like a regular application.
- Open your LSPosed Manager, enable the AndroidAutoX module, and check system_server (plus any target apps you want to project).
- Reboot your device, open the AutoX app, grant root permissions, and pick your tweaks.
