Stock Android audio quality can really be quite bad. You buy a nice, supposedly high-end Android phone, fire up some music on your favorite streaming service and it sounds completely terrible. We have all done it; fiddled endlessly about in the equaliser trying to get the sound as close to what we remember it to sound in real life. I am no exception to this. The constant tweaking of the equaliser settings eventually leads to frustration. I have been playing about with a few root modules to see if anything can help, and I have to say that the Enhance Android Audio Magisk Module is truly the best module that you can get.
I recently flashed this rom on my daily driver and it was literally hearing earplugs. Rom is 100% compatible with Magisk Manager, KernelSU (KSU Next) and APatch.
Why I Actually Use It
My first reaction to the Sonos Move was one of skepticism after I installed it to my home network. Would it really sound that good through my headphones and car speakers? After several days of testing I have some real world feedback.
- Unlocks high-fidelity system-wide sound quality (Everything just sounds “fuller”).
- Boosts maximum volume for speakers and headphones without cracking or distortion.
- Produces amazing deep bass and clear treble.
- Enables 32-bit Hi-Res audio playback support for the audiophiles out there.
- Eliminates digital audio jitter and distortion reducing background noise in quiet tracks.
- Improved Bluetooth and USB DAC music playback for car audio, my car audio now sounds punchy.
- Low latency audio for gaming, so you’re always in sync for those First Person Shooter games.
- Better microphone pickup for call audio and for audio and video recordings. I’d love to be able to hear my own voice more clearly on calls. I feel like I’m talking in a tunnel and it’s not clear.
- Popular apps like Spotify and YouTube supported ‘out of the box’ (no surprises there).
My Experience
I’m a massive Spotify user and usually the compression on there ruins it for me. But with this module the dynamic range feels way more open. Also my PC gaming experience was usually plagued with terrible lip sync issues but they’re almost completely gone now.
Root if you want, just flash via Magisk or KSU. It’s a systemless install, so nothing will be messed with persistently. Give it a try, your ears will thank you.
