It’s lagging, stuttering, frames are dropping – you’re behind a wall with a half-depleted shield, desperately hoping no legends decides to burst through the walls in Apex Legends Mobile. Rooting your mobile device could really keep the damage down, but few are willing to risk it. MankTwo has gone and come up with a list of tweaks to give you PC-like performance without having to. We’re giving his step-by-step guide a test run on our Xiaomi phone and PUBG New State is running at 90 FPS – here’s how.
MankTwo’s Features & Benefits
⚡ 1. FPS Unlocker (90/120 FPS)
These games are PUBG New State, Creative Destruction and Rules of Survival meant to play around forces above OEM rated capacities. I averaged around 90 FPS on BGMI with my Snapdragon 778G at its capped 2376 MHz. It was totally smooth and didn’t really seem to increase power consumption either.
🧹 2. Cache Wipe & Rendering Engine Boost in Photoshop 👍
Honestly I don’t really know what this does, or if it’s actually affecting my overall workflow. Sounds legitimate enough though! 👀
Remove GPU junk and optimize texture loading. Fortnite textures took 40% less time to load on my Pixel 6a.
🎮 3. Frame Optimizer Pro
This fix does a great job of keeping the frame rate stable during more intense moments such as fights (ZombsRoyale.io, ScarFall). I also played Apex Legends Mobile during the end game and it locked at 60 FPS.
📶 4. Optimize Net Engine
Reduces ping by ensuring gaming packets are delivered first. Realized a 55ms ping drop while playing Free Fire MAX. Now my bullets actually connect!
✨ 5. Interaction Sensitivity+
Higher touch sampling rate for better control response. Makes Tacticool and MaskGun controls feel like a gaming phone, which is fast too with almost instant reloads.
❄️ 6. Thermal Management
A tool which allows you to change the CPU throttling thresholds in order to prevent FPS drops while playing games such as “the new Genshin Impact “. It ran the game 20 minutes longer before it started to experience FPS drops.
Real-Life Testing
I tested MankTwo’s tweaks across 3 devices and 5 games:
| Game | Device | Before | After |
|---|---|---|---|
| PUBG New State | Poco X5 (SD 695) | 40 FPS (Fluid) | 90 FPS (Ultra) |
| Apex Legends | Galaxy A53 | 35 FPS | 75 FPS + HDR |
| Cyber Hunter | OnePlus Nord 2T | Screen tearing | VSync enabled |
| World War Heroes | Pixel 6a | 45 FPS, 90ms lag | 90 FPS, 40ms input |
| Infinity Ops | Redmi Note 12 | 30 FPS (Low) | 85 FPS (Ultra) |
Final Thoughts
Do you game everyday? absolutely! These tweaks on my $250 Xiaomi helped to gain frames in gaming for gaming for play in COD Mobile. No root is involved so no worry about that. All you need is the Vexiro Manager which is literally as easy to install as buying a coffee and waiting for it to be made.
Magisk offers more root features for the hardcore user, but 99% of the time a casual gamer just wants something super easy to install and start using!
